Who Do You Think’s In The Burger?

Dude, skunk burgers and Barth. Doesn’t get any more classic than this. And as far as catchphrases are concerned, Barth’s “Dah-Iiiiiii Heard That!” from “You Can’t Do That On Television” is Sofa King underrated. As is the entire YCDTOTV empire. Think about the simple fact that, on a show aimed directly at children, there were reoccuring sketches where children were chained up in dungeons and tied to a post in front of a firing squad … talk about Subversive Spice! That would never fly in today’s culture of conservowurstness (which, now that your Uncle thinks about it, also goes a long way to understanding why the show has yet to be released on DVD). From this to “Dangermouse” to “Double Dare” (which I heaped praise on, FAT stizz, back in January of Oh-Three), some say it doesn’t get any rougher than early to mid `80s Nickelodeon. Represent!

PS - Keep your peepers peeped for that Alanis Morrissette cameo!

Barth. Better than Loftus?

That’s false. Nothing’s better than Loftus.

The only things even remotely close to being as true as Loftus are Nummer and Krunchers (jalapeno and/or mesquite bbq, duhvs).

Oh, and Amy Loftus. Bovs.

Dude…I pull out the ““Dah-Iiiiiii Heard That!” all the time and no one ever understands what I’m referencing. I’ve got to make new friends. Off to MySpace…

YCDTOTV hasn’t hit dvd yet b/c it’s Sofa King Worst. Duhvs. It’s the Green Day of bad 80’s children’s tv stories. If you like that I’ve got a warehouse full of John Pinette “comedy” dvd’s for sale. SALAD?!?! BUT I’M STARVIN!!!

Oh man- that goddamn “Two Triple Cheese, side Order of Fries” video they’d always play on that Turkey Television show in the afternoons.

To Winston –

Salad? I bought you a salad! And trust me, in two years, you will know what that means…

Unrelated: Grambo, I just opened up a small gift package from your employer and found that they sent me “The Essential Heart”; 37 Heart classics never before available in one package.

Dude, what the fuck? Now I’m not one to be ungreatfull for any gift. But if your going to go through the trouble to send out a little “hey please buy media from us” gift, why in the name of jebus would you send out a collection of Heart classics???

Come on! Who’s making these decisions… Billy Madison?

“Today’s Special”: Some say best Canadian kids show featuring mannequins who turn into real people after hours in a department store, ever.

Everybody now…”Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around, look at my pinwheel and see what I’ve found…” And for the ladies out there, how awesome was it that Nickelodeon aired reruns of The Monkees??? So crushable. They stole my heart waaaaay before NKOTB.

To Grizz: Agreed. But I’d just like to point out that your screen name is Blade…Worst. You suck, your review sucks, and I bet your entire family sucks.
